Biometry solutions

FishBIOMETRY

Accurate fish biometry estimation using any stereo camera during transfers or free-swimming in the pen.

Achieve the most accurate estimation of the biomass of your fish in near real-time using any stereo camera you already have, whether during fish transfers or while tuna is free swimming in the pen cage.

Tuna BiometryAccurate Estimation of Atlantic and Pacific bluefin tuna Biomass

We provide cutting-edge services for automatic video analysis of stereo cameras, delivering highly accurate biomass estimations of your fish in near real-time. With the flexibility to use any two sets of calibrated stereo cameras (like AQ1, AST100, etc.), we offer two distinct methods for estimating fish biomass based on your specific needs.

1. During Tuna Transfer

  • Whether transferring tuna from cage to cage or conducting first transfers, our solution requires only a calibrated stereo camera to record the process. Our system automatically detects the same fish in both the left and right cameras.
  • We segment and classify the fish, measure precise landmarks for each fish, and estimate biomass using state-of-the-art biometry models. This includes automatic counting of fish during transfers and biomass distribution estimation for each cage based on fish classes.

2. Tuna Biometry - Free Swimming

  • Regular biometry checks are conducted monthly using a stereo camera to record representative samples of tuna free swimming in the cage. We offer automatic and accurate measurements of lateral tuna landmarks from these recordings, utilizing state-of-the-art biometry models for bluefin tuna to estimate the biomass.
